Welcome

On behalf of the conference chair, I cordially invite you to 2021 KJF-International Conference on Organic Materials for Electronics and Photonics (KJF-ICOMEP2021) held from August 29th to 31st, 2021. Last year, KJF-ICOMEP2020 was postponed due to the situations of COVID-19. Korea-Japan Joint Forum (KJF) started in 1989, therefore KJF-ICOMEP has 32-year history. During these years, KJFs have evolved into the international conference in which scientists, engineers, and business leaders exchange information about recent advances in organic materials for electronics and photonics. The conference committee and the international committee tried to hold KJF-ICOMEP2021 at Tokyo Institute of Technology at Suzukakedai campus, Yokohama, Japan, however, decided to hold online KJF-ICOMEP2021 considering the status of COVID-19.
The research topics of KJF-ICOMEP2021 will cover from the basic studies such as material synthesis, fabrication and characterization of thin films, interfacial phenomena, spectroscopy, and single-molecule manipulations, to the application-oriented studies, including LEDs, FETs, memory devices, solar cells, batteries, biochips, and biosensors. We are fully confident that all participants from industry as well as academy will benefit a great deal from this opportunity of scientific exchange provided by KJF-ICOMEP2021. The conference will also provide active opportunities for young researchers to discuss their research projects, thus extending the groundwork for a successful network and for synergetic collaborations.

During this conference, we will have Professor Hidetoshi OIKAWA honorary lecture of on his retirement. Professor OIKAWA has greatly contributed to Korean-Japan Joint Forum and is one of the key members of KJF-ICOMEP.

The organizers welcome participants who are interested in organic materials research, electronics and photonics, and expect an exciting and fruitful discussion.

The proceedings of KJF-ICOMEP2021 will be published in special issues on “Molecular Crystals and Liquid Crystals” (MCLC, Taylor & Francis) after regular peer-reviewing processes. At the KJF-ICOMEP2021, we will call for submissions for the special issue of 2021“Organic Materials for Electronics and Photonics”, MCLC. The detailed information is available on this KJF-ICOMEP2021 website.

We look forward to meeting you from August 29th to 31st, 2021.

Yutaka MAJIMA
Conference Chair of KJF-ICOMEP2021
